case studies
MAXINE ft. miida
With 8 million views and 50,000 TikTok followers, MAXINE gained recognition for her song "I Like U, But I Love Me," featured on BTS's V's vlog. MAXINE's unique songs blend alternative guitar, R&B, and hip-hop. Collaborating with former Negoto guitarist/composer Masuda Mizuki (miida), miida, interpreting MAXINE's lyrics, adds her touch in Japanese, highlighting the contrast between their crisp and exhilarating versus somewhat wistful and cool vocals. Together, they brought their distinct styles, creating a captivating musical experience.
A two-month PR campaign designed to introduce the young Dutch artist MAXINE to Japan and other select Asian territories through press releases and playlist pitching for the latest single, "Kinda Wanna feat. miida," from her upcoming album "Guess I'm Over It". Press placements included block.fm, Yahoo! News Japan, and Billboard JAPAN. We also saw DSP activities on Recochoku_jp (announcement from official Twitter account), and Spotify playlists that included Tokyo Rising, New Music Friday Japan, Girl on Fire, Next Up, and Hangover Detox by block.fm. Various songs from the EP were played on The Guy Perryman Show (InterFM Tokyo), LOVE FM (Fukuoka), 973FM Blasts That Last (Singapore), and TAIWAN LOUNGE RADIO (Taiwan).
